1501, Using the SAFC as a Ignition Controller

Most of us know that if you lean out your mixture using a SAFC it will advance timing, which is the opposite of what compliments boost. So say you caliberate your sfmu to run lean and then enrichen the mix using the SAFC will this effectively retard timing over what it would normally run?

No, you'll just take the MAP sensor out of range. it only reads 1 bar (of vacuum), so trying to INCREASE the voltage sent to the ecu will do, other than cause fuel cut, nothing.

This is kind of bringing back an old post, but I thought you could only remove fuel with the SAFC i didnt think you could add fuel?? :shrug

Yep, you can add fuel but if you bust ~4.6 volts you will get fuel cut like Dino said.
