780, Mitsu Ignition Transistor module install pics Posted by XtremeRS, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM I found a great place to mount this thing, right on the driver strut tower, behind the ECU. I had some spare aluminum plate, and some aluminum L angle, and made a good heat sink for it. Now the heat sink i made is pretty much overkill for this module, but I had the metal, and wanted to be sure it stayed as cool as possible. I also used Heat Sink compound between the module and aluminum, and also between all the "fins" and mounting plate. Mounted the heat sink to the body with a few self tapping screws.
