Hehe yeah thats prob why it was confusing for you..Just because we have 2 cylinders each with the same piston position, doesnt mean they are both firing at the same time. Remember, we have 720 degrees for one full 4 stroke engine cycle- Intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust. You need 180 degrees for each stroke. If we fired 2 cylinders at a time, that would leave 360 degrees of crank rotation WITHOUT any ignition events..in other words, it would run really crappy lol. The way it works now though, is we have power making ignition events every 180 degrees, or 2 ignition events for every one full crank rotation.
