983, Additional Rooms at the Hampton Inn for $69/night available Posted by CrazyEclipse, Jul-14-05 05:48 AM
Last year after we all found out when this ear shootout would be, I made reservations at the Hampton Inn which was supposed to have been right off the highway in Norwalk. That hotel was booked completely even right after the shootout. Instead there is another Hampton in 5ish miles up the road from there. I made a map so you can get a better perspective.

I have 6 rooms available for $69 per night Wednesday (8/10) thru Tuesday (8/16).The majority of 2gnt stays at the BestWestern, but in the event there isnt any more room in the rooms, this will be available until 8/12. The rooms all are non smoking and have 2 double beds. If someone prefers a smoking room, it wouldnt be a problem changing that. Last year non of the hotels had direct internet access, dont know about this year but this hotel has it so if you wanna get online, bring a laptop.
If you very short on money and barely can make it, grab 2 or 3 friends in this room... $20 to $35 a night each!
I can work payment a bunch of ways, so if you want a room, just get in touch with me.

I'm going to tell some of my buddies on another forum about this. They're all talking about having to sleep in their cars or camp. Methinks it will be too cold for camping. ;)

I step out onto my balcony at midnight for a smoke and it's still 98* outside. That, my friend, is a nice, cool evening. 70* is farking frigid.

Okay. Fine. You want to know what hot is? Hot is when it's 116* in the shade with a higher-than-normal-thanks-a-fucking-lot-monsoons 21% humidity. I can take the 116 and more, but there has to be a breeze and no more than 10% humidity. Otherwise, you must take care not to literally sweat your balls off. You get outof the car and you have a sweat stripe where your seatbelt was.
And I stand by the fact that 70* is cold. That's why we wear sweaters when we're outside grilling on Thanksgiving afternoon down here. }(

I was in vegas a week ago with temps like....no fucking thank you IMO. I stood there and could feel the sweat driping down my ass crack.
70* is a good night temp.

i vote that the temperature remain 68-70 degrees with less than 10% humidity all the time. who is with me. maybe if the petition grows long enough, we can get something done. :-) (cept track nights, then the temp can be about 52 degrees. ;-) )

This is thru me not their website. I'm glad a bunch of people have jumped on the deal so far. The 5 miles stretch is worth saving a couple hundred dollars IMO!
If you want one, all you need to do it tell me how many rooms you want, your name, and when you will be arriving. You just gotta give me a call once you get there and I'll check you in. Simple as that. wo0o0t
