-Insurance called me today - I'm getting a check mailed to me for just under $1000 for "repairs."
-Discussing getting 8hrs/wk of OT helping out the contracts department on Saturdays for a month or so (40hrs@$20/hr > 80hrs@$8/hr).
-Plan B: Mom has told me that Daisy needs to be at the Shootout this year. First National Bank of Mom and Dad will do whatever they can to make this happen.

I will definately be there this year, although I planned on going boosted..it looks like I might have to wait on that. At best I will be back to stock body and painted ( or primered? ) but I will still be there and thats what matters.

If it makes you feel any better, I bought an enclosed trailer for Kandy for long trips like this over a month ago that was supposed to be delivered August 1. Never happened. I even had a huge ass 2gnt decal printed up to put it on the side of the trailer.

Instead I'm stuck with either driving it 700 miles or trailering it on an open trailer. Its my luck this would happen. Last year I made a promise and I intend to keep that promise no matter what. Kandy will be there. I'm leaving in a few hours for Norwalk. Got places of interest on the way to check out.

I just love the smell of napalm in the morning. Maybe I'm mistaken, but couple years that I have been around this place, it's always had respect. The cars not so much, but I think this site could possibly be responsible for cementing the acronym which designates us all - 2GNT. Furthermore, the Shootout is the one place where ALL DSMers are welcome. They might chuckle or laugh under their breath, but it seems to me that you get a certain amount of basic respect if your DSM made it to Ohio for the Shootout.
