who else has made reservations already? just wondering how far ahead of the game i am. i made mine the day i saw the post about the 05 shootout. :-) the girl at the BW said i was the first to call in. she also thought i was talking about 04 at first and she was like, sir, its september. LOL.

The Norwalk Inn wont take any reservations until January 1. Blah!
So I got a few rooms at teh Hampton Inn instead. High speed interent in all rooms and a jacuzzi... wo0t! Hopefully the "queen" size beds will be more like queen size rather than the size of a full size bed.

Yup.. me and Crazy have booked 5 additional rooms for just $69 a night I think that will be the best price we are gonna find in the area.

Well were not really trying to do a group buy.. We are just Hilton Honors members so we can get betters price and I was gonna call them and see if maybe we can get a better price. Even though $69 a night is still pretty cheap compared to what everbody was paying at the shootout this year. The Hampton Inn also has high speed internet incase you are having 2gnt withdrawels.. Usually, everyone hangs out at the Best Western. I am staying there.

Others stay at the Amerihost or Econo Lodge, but everyone ends up at the BW hanging out. Make reservations now since it only gets more expensive as you get closer.

If anyone is interested, I can ask my friend (who works for the Marriott chain) if we can get a group rate with her.
If someone can tell me what is around there, I can look into it. They own Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, Courtyards, Spring Hill and some others.....
I dont think it would even have to be a "group" thing. Just let me know.

Would be interesting to see Amy. I don't remember any of those locally. I think this year I might just end up at the BW too. Too many trips across town last year with too much alcohol in the system.

I looked around and I didnt see any of the Marriott chain for MILES. I wanna be close as I am a SO virgin. LOL

you might be able to, but i wouldnt suggest waiting much longer. the only way to know is to call them up and ask if they have anything left. i know that 2 years ago when i was there, they had one room left the night of the shootout, but it was handicapped and like $280. wasnt worth it to me. i slept on the floor in a friends room. ;-)
