If you live in CA, AZ, NV, NM, TX, OK, or KS, and will be going to the Shootout, please post up in this thread so we can all make sure we roll into Chicago together this year.

az2gnt will be rolling east on Interstate 40 out of Flagstaff, headed to OKC, then north on Interstate 35 to ICT, KCI and Des Moines, followed by Interstate 80 east towards Chicago, where we will be meeting up with the rest of the western caravans. We will arrive in Chicago sometime Thursday so we can all roll into Norwalk Friday as a unified group like we did last year.

I will bump this thread with revised count down as needed (not like last year lol) with new information, but if you are fairly certain you will make it this year, feel free to discuss. Otherwise, you have been warned.

btw, im not keeping 7 states of people at my house the night before. if it gets that busy, people are going to need to get hotels

michael is staying at my place most likely. Steve has a wife and 2 kids, i highly doubt that he'd want people he doesnt know staying at his house. in fact, i guarantee it. 6 people is fine, its just that i already have Dino, Thura, Jeff(evulflea possibly), michael, hujjat, and myself at my place. my house is big, but not big enough for 15 people

What day do you guys plan on comming through IL, I might be able to set everyone up as long as you dont mid the floor or the dogs. I have the week before and the week after off but need to be in Texas by saturday. Before i go buying plane tickets to my G/F graduation i will wait to see what you guys plan on doing driggs. Ive got plenty of room.

Meeting up with Chris wouldnt be too bad he lives roughly 45mins north of me and has to head south towards IN. I am not far from I-80/I-55

Hel the week before i might even plan a trip to Pheonix (See a friend that lives out there) and drive back with ya. then fly to TX the day after...could be a lot of fun road trip.

That would be cool. Again, we'll see. Unfortunately, it's all going to have to come down to the month or so before the trip until anyone can commit imo. Still, a good idea to throw out some discussion in advance.

I plan on drinking with Dino, Thura, Michael, and Chris on Thursday night in Chicago. The Chicago caravan usually leaves for Norwalk on Friday morning. I'm thinking we meet up in Wichita (or KC if you prefer) sometime early Thursday AM. Food for thought. I'll be going straight from Phoenix to Wichita and crashing with HiOnPsi or Jason.

I turned in my vacation request and got it approved today. So far it's looking good ;)

Hotel room is booked, vacation approved, I just have to make sure that my parents will take the kids which I *hope* shouldn't be a problem since my little brother is out of school at that time anyways. Seems like it. Our garage looks like a junkyard. 2 cars propped up in the air, some pistons here, a couple turbos there. Neither one is featuring a head, or tranny... On a good note, we just got back the '90s block, now we just gotta clean up that wire mess inside. Cody claims to know where each and everything goes, but I'm not so sure about that... when you are near Des Moines (or wherever) I guess. The I-80 people. I am in Lincoln so, It would easier to go straight east then southeast :). Anyways I still have the 2g but I'll be driving the 1g.

Drew, I'm not sure what time we'll be where, but I'm sure we can get something figured out closer to the actual date. I remember we met up with Aaron and a bunch of other guys at that truck stop in Indiana along the way and had Arby's. I've got Aaron's number, so if all else fails, I can give him a call when we hit the Indiana border and coordinate from there. I'm thinking it will be later in the morning or maybe noon time before we get that far. It all depends on what time we all get out of Chicagoland. :thumbsup

The big question is: Will we have to sit and wait an hour for the Michigan people to arrive, again, this year? :+

Sounds good to me. Last year sucked to get up at freakin 4 in the morning to go the the Chitown guys. Whenever you get to Davenport/Bettendorf I could meet up with ya guys at Lukes also and we could head into Chicago togeather. :thumbsup
