9934, in search for 3m window weld Posted by vegasdsmr, Dec-10-01 08:05 AM
fellas, there has to be a 2gntr on here that can find me 3m window weld,
i went to home depot, sears auto, auto zone, pep boys, and 2 diff. checker auto parts stores today to no avail. they all looked in their computers, and even stated that their wherehouse had none in stock to order from.
i want to fill in my pass side motor mount with the window weld because it is a cheap fix for that motormount.
the actual part number is: 51135-08609 i found similar window adhesives, but not this particular one.
it is window-weld primerless, super fast urethane. there is pics of it on this website http://www.raktron.com/misc/mt.htm
the pictures are on the bottom of the page.
i will definately appreciate any insight as to where to look next, or if one of yall has a hookup let me know.
i might just contact rre, but figure i would see u fellas can do for me first

Are you talking about windshield adheasive, that holds the window in the car?? It is called urathane, my shop i work for replaces windshields. I would just go to a local windshield repair shop and see if they will let you buy a tube from them. Watch out though, some brands of urathane need to be heated befor you dispense it. Its hella thick stuff!! And be sure to let it cure over night too!

problem is, i bet they dont have/use the exact same window weld.
i wonder if i bought a cuple big tubes of JB weld, if that would hold up??

Just e-mail Mark (raktron.com). He's a great guy, head of the Cleveland DSM club, etc. I'm sure he could tell you where he got it from. Tell him I sent you.

Hey I work in a body shop and I use the window weld on a regular basis. I get everything from here:
http://www.autobodysupply.net/mmm/3mautomotive.htm
Look under "All sealants" and "super weatherstrip" I've used all the products and they all work good but the only thing I would use on my talon is the super weatherstrip. Hope this helps
