What is "ram air" and how is it different from a cai ??

Well ram air is basically a type of forced air induction into the intake manifold. It usually works when at a moderate speed, and the air "rushes" into the intake to give more HP. Some on this board have done the custom mod, don't really know how good it works though. One way is to plumb some piping from the small openings in the front bumper, to the intake. A cold air intake basically draws in cooler air down by the road, under the car, instead of by the hot air by the engine. A colder air charge will give slight increase in HP, because a cooler air charge can "hold more gas" than a hotter one...It all has to do with the density of hot and cold air..

erm I think it's suppose to be that colder air is more dense therefor it can hold more oxygen. More 02 equals more burn.

Whatever, you get the idea anyway :)

buy an AEM CAI or an Iceman, remove the plastic cover thing (if you have one) on your bumper so the filter shows....same thing
