i got fuel injectors i need put in, they are stock just to keep the car as a daily driver. Is there anyone in the ohio area that could put these in for me?

it really shouldnt be to hard to do. you would have to do the fuel pressure relief procedure as stated in the manual, disconnect the battery, remove everything from the upper intake plenum, hoses and sensors, the harness for the injectors, the 2 bolts holding the piping to the fuel rail, then the 2 bolts holding the rail on the lower plenum (ive never taken the rail off with the lower plenum on, so im not entirely sure if you can reach the bolts or not with it on) and thats it basically.

install new o-rings on each injector, put rail with injectors on, making sure the injectors are in the holes for them on the plenum. rehook the rail to fuel pipe, the harness for the injectors, upper plenum and a new gasket to make sure, vac hoses and sensors, hook the fuel pump sensor back up, rehook up battery, make sure everything is exactly like before you took it apart, and start the car, checking and rechecking for leaks, pretty easy id say.

sounds easier than it really is though. I had a shop tell me it was gonna be 3 hrs of labor to do, so thats why i am trying to see if anyone can do it for cheaper and knows what they are doing. Thanks though man i might go at least look at itnow seee what all i can reach

I've changed my fuel rail in the middle of winter in a snow storm at 10pm at night on the side of the highway holding a flashlight in my mouth... its not 3 hours of labor. unhook and remove the battery, take the coilpack off, unhook the fuel injector harness from all the injectors and the harness, unhook and set aside the throttle cable, get a ratchet and a 3 or 4" extension and maybe even a wobble attachment if you are lazy, then looking down from above between the runners and reaching underneath from the throttle body side of the intake remove the 2 fuel rail retainer bolts. this is the hardest part and takes about 15 minutes. Then wiggle the fuel rail loose with the injectors in it and wiggle it out through the fuel injector side, install new injector o-rings, install new injectors into rail, wiggle rail back into place, reattach retaining bolts, etc. blah blah. put everything back in and crank your car to acc/on a few times to pressurise. Dunzo. Now paypal me the 300 dollars you were about to pay a shop to do that.

EDIT: if you really, really want to make this easy, then remove the valve cover. makes everything a breeze to get to.

I just put my injectors back in, and reconnected my EGR in an hour. Here's how I did the injectors.

1. Pull the throttle cable, Throttle body, intake, and ignition coil.
2. Relieve fuel pressure, and remove fuel line from side of rail (two 8mm bolts--if you have a flexible ratchet driver, these are cake).
3. Disconnect wiring for injectors (label them if you need to). These you squeeze and then pull off.
4. I have a ratchet that has one of those swivel heads. Find a normal socket and the shortest extension you can get (the one that's basically a nub) and use the swivel socket to get the two 13 mm bolts that hold the rail to the manifold. I found that a deep 13 is just a little bit too long, but the combo of the nub and the regular 13 is perfect)
5. Manuver the rail out and you're all set.
6. Just a tip, when you're reinstalling the 13mm bolts, snug them up firm, but don't crank on them. It'll make it much easier to remove later.

Remember, whenever you install injectors to use new O rings to prevent leaking, and take a little engine oil to lubricate the O rings. To take the injectors out, remove the little metal retainer and pop the injector out.

Like I said, that took me probably 35 minutes, and that's with reinstalling the injectors as well. No need to take the intake manifold off.

hey thanks alot that is very helpful, it will save me a lot of money in labor too because the shop that was going to put them in was going to take off my manifold.

taking off the upper intake manifold is a breeze anyway, I dont have a lift and it only takes like 10 minutes. Just get a bunch of extensions then undo the 6 10mm bolts from under the car. That is of course after you unhook everything up top

I can do it for you, I am in Akron. If you are willing to drive it down here though. You will need to have it here by Thursday tho cuz my wedding is Saturday and I wont be back from Mexico until the 19th.

man i don't want to berden u if u are in a hurry, i will try to do it myself then if i get in trouble just hook it back up and take it to the shop. I am having the new fuel pump put in today so i will just do it altogether.
Just wondering tho do you do paint for people? I was wanting to get my gs-t painted electron srt-4 blue and looking for someone to do it, that takes pride in their work instead of just throwing on paint and saying here ya go

alright thanks for all ur guys is help, especially ForceFed420a, i followed that step by step and got it all put in...even got high temp engine paint and painted it blue to match everything.
