98846, Header/ Exhaust Help Please
Posted by Extreme Eclipse, May-18-06 06:25 PM
Ok, long story short. I am having some problems with my turbo and am going to have to get it rebuilt because it is blown. In the mean time, cheapest alternative is to buy a new Exhaust header and just make it back to NA until the turbo is done. Therefore, my question to you guys is:

I need a cheap, but good quality exhaust header. New or used, I dont really care. I just want it to be a quality product for the cheapest price possible. This is just a temporary fix until I get the turbo back on. What would you guys reccomend???

I was thinking possibly OBX???

there is a new review in the review section that gives pretty good reviews to the obx header. look at it this way. if you are going to get your turbo fixed and re install, then even if the obx turns out to be crap you wont be using it that long anyway.

I really like my Megan 4-1 header. It only ran me about 200 new from eBay. The fitment is good. Only thing I noticed I had to do was enlarge the bolt holes for the flange at the cat. I also had to do the same to the flange at the cat with my catback. Not sure why. My only gripe is that the o2 sensor is right next to my radiator fan. It is sooo close to it, it looks like it would hit it. No problems with it yet though.

Snag a stock exhaust manifold from the yard for pennies on the dollar. No sense in wasting money on a header while a turbo is being rebuilt, imo.

Hey here is the pic of the oxygen sensor.

Can someone show me how to post up a pic? I can't seem to get it to work.
