98563, what should I change when getting a used block? Posted by redline7, May-09-06 04:13 AM
Ok so my block is pretty much done. I am planning to get a used block and put it on. I will re-surface the block and my cylinder head. I am gonna transfer any good part from my old block to my new one. Does anyone have any comments on what I should do meanwhile I have my new block out and ready to swap in?

Ya. New gaskets, rings, bearings, head bolts, and rod bolts at a minimum. Might as well do it now, so your not kicking yourself later because it has blowby or you have a leak.
