i've searched and found answers to this problem but nothing worked. i recently rebuilt my engine with a .020 bore. i've been waiting 2 weeks for the mechanic to get done with it and it is finally back in the car. now it won't start. my mechanic says that it's not getting spark and there is no fuel push. everything worked perfectly fine before it went in. he's checked the relays, sensors, fuses... everything twice over. he said the car will turn on but when you go to start it nothing... hence the no spark/fuel. i have an afx ecu in there now. could this be the problem? is it possible that after hooking everything back up and trying to start the ecu got fried? (i hope this isn't the problem) i just had the fuel pump replaced no more than 6 months ago.
i just returned from afghanistan and have been home for 2 weeks now with one week left before i leave to go back to my unit. i would really like to be able to drive my car before i have to leave but it seems like it's not going to be possible.
anyone that has had this trouble... what ended up fixing the problem?

Is the CEL on?

Most likely culprits in a no-start condition after a rebuild are the cam angle sensor, the crank angle sensor, or the simple "Oops" of connecting the coil pack plug to the vehicle speed sensor, because they're the same plug and are somewhere close together where the meet the main engine harness.

found out what the problem was. apparently the crane cams that were sent from howell were for a different application. didn't line up at all. guess the mechanic didn't compare the stock and aftermarket ones before he assembled the engine.
the box said for an eclipse 420A so must have been mislabeled. too bad i bought them a couple years ago. no chance in getting a refund. at least the problem is solved.

Good find...If you find out what the application is for those cams, They'd probably be a quick sell thru Ebay...
