Hey guys,

I tried my best searching to answer my questions but Ican't find really what i need to know....

My car throws couple of codes:
17 which says " engine cold too long"

and 31 which is evaporative purge solenoid line, vaccuum hose, emission canister clogged

Car runs pefectle fine, at least for what i can see...I was just bothered by the CEL light on.

Now my question is, are these 2 codes related ? would it help if id purge my coolant ? change my thermostat ?

I don't know too much about all that stuff, any help is appreciated.

both are unrelated

#1 replace your coolant temp sensor
#2 replace your evap canister (could also be bad vacuum lines going to/from the evap canister or a bad evap solenoid.

Do a search on CODE 31 or look at some of the other threads on this page. That seems to be the popular code everyone's car is throwing right now.
