Any of yall ever had any experience with or heard of anyone taking out their pistons to ring them and hone the cylinders and the pistons get mixed up so that they don't know the original cylinder the damned things came out of??? if i put this engine back together with out the rod/piston on the original spot on the crank is is gonna run like sh*t or sling apart or what??? the engine is ENTIREly stock by the way...

it dont matter what cyl. you put them back in.

It does however, matter which direction they face.

The word "front" stamped on the side of the stock pistons goes toward the timing belt.

Just make sure you use new rod bearings.

Yeh i got new rod bearings, new rings, honed cyclinders, and had the crank polished

If you are re using old pistons, you really should put them back into the same cylinder they came out of. Each piston was worn into its particular cylinder its own way, but since you are honing and re ringing, it doesnt matter as much..It still would be the best practice to put them in the same cylinder, but you should be ok.

Ditto. Matt's right, you really should try to get them back in the original cylinders, but after the hone & ring job it won't matter quite as much. Don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do at this point if you don't know which cyl's they came from.

When you get it all back together... Make sure you break it in properly! Run the thing HARD (not beating on it, but giving it some good solid 3rd and 4th gear pulls) for the first 20 miles and use engine braking between pulls. Don't forget to change your oil after those critical first 20 miles.
