97477, Fuel leaking out of end of fuel pressure regulator?
Posted by jam013200, Mar-28-06 12:49 PM
I just finished my motor buildup and started the car and fuel started leaking underneath the passenger side of the engine compartment. I traced it down to the end of the fuel pressure regulator (1995 Eclipse). Does this mean my regulator is toast? If so can it be replaced or do you have to buy a whole new fuel rail?

not a big deal you can just replace the FPR fuel preassure regulator i believe its like $65 at autozone not hard to replace but a bitch to get the fuel rail out grab some pencils or something to plug fuel lines!! not a big deal but you might want to check your MAP too that would cauise it to do that i know mine did!!

How would the map sensor cause fuel to dump out the end of the FPR? I would have thought an O-Ring or seal or something would be the culprit.
