97258, Turbo and Non Turbo Exhaust Posted by 95Eclipse302, Mar-20-06 01:53 PM
Will the stock 2g Turbo Exhaust Fit On a Stock Non Turbo Eclipse?
I am talking from the axle rite before the cat back to muffler. Would it be a direct bolt up?

The exhaust from a turbo is bolt-on from the cat back. So anything before the cat it will bolt on with out a problem. This is a very common upgrade, and I know you could have searched and found this because I have answered this question more than once....

I need to kno if it will work on my rs. I wanna use the turbo downpipe, basically can I bolt up everything onto my rs from the turbo except the exhaust manifold itself. I mean I wanna bolt up the axle back, cat, muffler, all that.

You can only use the cat-back portion. The cat and forward you cannot. Can't use manifold, downpipe, or cat. The cat-back with muffler will bolt right up.

What? Do you mean cut out the cat from the turbo section and then try to use the turbo downpipe or what?
You can use everything from the cat to the rear. Anything in front of that will not work because it is designed for the turbo set up and the 4g63 motor. Just unbolt the rear section of pipe from the cat on both cars and switch. Thats all you can do.
You can use the cat-back piping and muffler.
You cannot use cat or downpipe.

I no that those will fit man, I now kno that everything except the cat, downpipe, and manifold will work. My question is, can I at all, in any way, make the cat. itself weld up? Oh and I have a 95-96 drivers light J if you still need one, lol.

Sure you can. If you leave some pipe on both ends of the cat and weld it in. If you have a welder you customize a lot of things.
