I was driving, everything was good, drove for about 20 minutes (on the rebuild again) stopped at a stop sign, pulled out and boom, it cut completely out. I called my roomie, he towed me to the house, to find out my vaccuum on the fuel rail came out, I put it back on, but my battery is dead from trying to start it, so I gotta wait until tomorrow to charge my battery.. but my question is, if the fuel rail vac line was out, does that mean no fuel was in my car causing it to cut out? makes sense to me, but I wanna be sure and I dont knwo what the hell would make it "pop" off like that... thanks

I think u answered your question. But I only thought that the fuel rail had one line going to it, which is the line that delivers the fuel. So if that came off, then no fuel would be going through the injectors. Correct me if I am wrong, but on my 2 neons(almost same engine, SIMILAR) The fuel rail had only that one FUEL DELIVERY line.

it was the vac line on the other end of the fuel rail, not the gas line but the vac hose that connects to what I'm guessing is the fpr. I have a 95 and I think the pressure regulator is on the end of the rail.

ok I have a 95 so my fpr is on my fuel rail. ok so I understand that my vac leak is where the cruisecontrol is suppose to be, but since I dont have one, then it needs to be blocked off... my question is, being that my car cut out like it had no fuel, would the vac line running to the fpr cause it to do that? I am going to get my battery charged around 10am and try to see if that was the problem. But I wanna be sure that if the vac line was off the fpr would it cause fuel failure and cause my car to cut out? thanks

The vac line going to the regulator should not cause this. What you need to do is let it run in the driveway till it quites. Then test spark and injector pulse.

Get back to me with that.

NO.

Did you even bother to check that you didn't have fuel? or, like many people, are you just assuming that because the car cut off, it has to be a problem with fuel?

no I didnt check anything b/c my battery was dead from trying to start it, so I had to get my battery charged... I just was curious if the vac line was off would it make my car cut out.. but since not, then I'm trying to figure it out now... hopefully it will start, but its like 22 degrees outside and windy as hell.. I'll post what happens.

ok my moteur fuse was blown, so I replaced it w/ the p.window fuse both are 30A and I dont have power windows, and it started right up... is this bad? what would cause that to blow? The only problem as of right now that I Know I have is the vac leak, which I am gonna fix here shortly b/c i know where it is.. thanks dino, terry, and everyone else... but what the hell would cause it to blow?
