96796, o2 sensors... Posted by BlueMach5, Mar-05-06 07:29 AM
Quick catch up... I am running turbo charged...and about a week ago my o2 sensor would not stay in the bung on the down pipe.(expansion from heat...not sure) Not adding to the fact that it had been dragged across town below my car damaging it...
Now here is my deal...I need some verification please. I managed to get an 02 sensor of a sohc neon, and spoke with an automotive guy to see if it would be a stright swap..
He stated you need to splice the old connector and it would work fine.
What do you think? would it be a work able swap...I can splice it but would it read correct the A/F????

Too late....
I went ahead and put it in.
The connections all match up on the four wires, all same colors and all in the exact same location as OEM.
Put it in works GRRREAT! now I just need to wait too see if my Engine light goes off now
:thumbsup:thumbsup

After installing the SOHC neon o2 sensor I rolled around for about two days with the Check engine, finally I keydanced it and then reset the ecu (battery disconnect) and its off and running strong....also while doing that I installed NGK BKR7E-11 spark plugs.....
Running sweet now
