96510, 2gnt throttle body boring Posted by cubedmayhem, Feb-19-06 03:07 PM
I have a 2g 4g64 spyder not many choice of upgrading throttle body (so far). But i work at a weld and machine shop and get the maching for free. If i upgrade will the sensors be very off, aka have ecu troubles. Aslo has any one found headers for the 4g64?

They do not make an aftermarket header for the 4G64, not that I know of. However, if I were to mod a Spyder I'd turbocharge it, for it is as easy as bolting any exhaust manifold from/for a 4G63; straight bolt on procedure. You're not going to make any serious power with bolt-ons unfortunately with the 4G64 in the Spyder. As far as the sensors on the throttle body goes, 420A guys do it all the time with no negative affect... it should work for you as well with no problems.
