96247, rust in the head and radiator
Posted by 420Adebt, Feb-07-06 05:15 PM
I had my head hot tanked, but there is still alot of rust in the water passages as well as a lot in my radiator. What is the best way to remove it. I had it flushed before but it still is there.. Unless keep flushing it until it is gone, but I was looking at some "evapo-rust" at autozone, it seems good and isnt harmful.. I was curious if I could just pour a gallon of that in my radiator and let it run for about a half an hour or so and then flush it.... any help would be appreciated. thanks

Do that, then only use 50/50 coolant only.

If that doesn't work, you might try filling the radiator with liquid lasers. Lasers are powerful things and make short work of rust. The original Plymouth Laser was named after lasers because of this special, rust-busting power.

It's true.
