I just realized right now that our engine will never be a monster all motor engine because of the ECU!

You can get 12.5:1 forged pistons, forged rods, stronger rings, stronger valves, cams.... but you will never be able to tap into the true power that high compression can give you because our engines don't rev high enough. Building your engine will make it bullet proof but it will also produce power in the higher rev range. Since your engine is bulletproof you can rev very high say up to 10000 rpm safely, well most likely around 10000 RPM is where your peak power is and if you shift at our redline say 7000 you will drop out of the powerband and it won't be as efficient.

Neons have proven to be all motor monster with 10 second all motor and stuff neons, well it's probably because they have the AFX ECU or something. So they can tap that power.

So you have to find some way to change the rev limit to tap the power all motor can give you.

Depending on if Ray keeps his car or *cough* goes partners with someone I hope to see his car go up to 10,000 rpms.

You can if you stroke it and add a stand alone like the SDS system.

I was planning on a haltech or electromotive EMS and a quad TB setup for mine so it would have been an all motor monster. And Michael still has plans for his which are very similar. It can and WILL be done!

Yeah the TEC-III will be out and proven by the time I get to it. But I do have plans for the a quad TB set up similar to the Neon. The Neons would bolt up but I don't want the extra thermostat housing, and I "mnight be able to save a little this way...

heh with all those engine goodies and work you coulda bought a turbo and still have the same horsepower.

The ECU costs a lot also. Well that's just my thought. All motor is good if you got the money hehe. :)

The way I look at it is I would want the stand alone ECU either way eventually. And I want to be different. I've always liked all motor, I want to see if I can surprise people at some future shootout. With a Supernatural 420A (yeah I knoe I stole the name from Callaway) Unfortunately with the whole layoff and working a temp job my funds aren't what they used to be, so my plans have been delayed, ,but I'm not going anywhere, and will get there.
