I am going to be purchasing the Zeitronix Wideband o2 kit. I have removed my cat and my rear o2 is dead. Since the rear o2 only monitors your cat, can I remove my rear o2 and insert my wideband o2 in its place? That way I can run the wires right up under the drivers side seat where the rear o2 wires are then right up to the laptop. I can always just run a casper for the rear o2 wires.

Yes. You could do that, but you might still get a CEL for the missing stocker.

also if you read the zeitronix instructions it recommends no more than 16" from the downpipe


have a muffler shop put you in a bung
its not that expensive

oh also if you are using a turbo timer you must make sure that your zeitronix controller is powered during the countdown because the wideband sensor will be damaged if it is in the exhaust stream without being powered

Well, I guess the instruction manual probably also details how to install it too. :shrug

It took me all of 30 minutes to install up to the point where I need to connect the actual sensor to the control. When I feel like crawling under the dash and drilling another hole in the firewall, I'll finish my installation.
