ok, just need some reassurance. Dropped the tranny for that leak, Really doubted it was the engine so I replaced the rear main seal for my own inssurance and peace of mind. New tranny input shaft is not leaking and everything is running smooth.
Now to the problem, fired her up, does good, all guages read normal. 3 min later the oil light comes on, not immediately but little by little it fades to full bright. Now this is the scary part, My apex'i says its getting normal pressure, it even goes down and up with the iacs operation. Both the stock and the apex'i are t'd off the same area, no oil leaks anywhere and no smoke out the exhaust ( no cat).
think its just the oem sensor going out? maybe a wire or voltage prob?
yup, still doing it and it seems its typical of a dying switch.

so far its been sitting Have not driven it out of fear, trusting the aftermarket gauge i gave it a rev and the oil press goes up on the aftermarket but the light still stays on.
no odd sounds, plenty of oil in the pan.
think I should drive it around the block?

if you rev it up and the oil light stays on then replace the sending unit. IF you rev it up and the light goes off then your in for an oil pump treat!
