95877, check valve Posted by baxsom, Jan-19-06 02:13 PM
there is a one way check valve that goes between the evap canister and the manifold.
is it supposed to be turned so that you can blow air from the intake to the canister or that you can blow air from the canister side to the intake
when the engine is on theres a vacuum sucking air through the line
so i am guessing that the check valve should be placed so that air flows towards the intake but i am not sure
thanks

If its from the manifold i would imagine that its there so it can have vacuum applied to it, but never see positive pressure (eg backfire in evap canister)

thats what i thought but in my chiltons manual it has arrows showing air flow point away from the manifold but chiltons has been wrong before
ex showing the fuel sender and calling it the fuel pump
