95652, coolant leak by the thermostat Posted by T_K, Jan-11-06 06:43 AM
I park and see some steam coming from the engine bay. I open it and see coolant dripping from where the upper pipe goes in the thermostat housing. In 1-2 minutes it stopped...
So what, do I have to replace the thermostat housing or is there something else I should check?

Likely time to replace the hose, if it's leaking there and not the radiator cap. If you have enough slack in your existing hose, you can cut it shorter and slip it back on. Give that a try, imo.
