They don't .. just use some thread-loc on the bolts and the required gasket sealant on the bedplate and you'll be fine. I think the selant is the most important part.

Actually, yes, they should be replaced. Everyone above is wrong. They're torque-to-yield just like head bolts. Look it up in the FSM or the 420A rebuild manual.
However, in my years of doing this crap, i've ever seen one stretched. So no, they technically shouldn't be reused, but you're probably perfectly safe if you reuse them anyway.

I agree with Dino on this one. They should be replaced using the same discretion as the head bolts.
