I just installed a SPEC Stage 3 clutch and on the couple of drives I've taken it on when the car is winding down in gear I've been getting really loud popping, gunshot like, from the exhaust around 2k rpm. I did remove the 2nd half of my dp to drop the transmission, but I do not hear any exhaust leaks after the car is warmed up (manifold is warped, goes away once warmed up). It may go away after a couple more drives but I don't think it will. It used to make noise like this when winding down but it was more of a grumble than a pop. It doesn't sound good and it is quite embaressing. Any suggestions? I will check more indepth for leaks tommorow, but I'm pretty sure everything is sealed.

My car backfires too.. If its not hindering or effecting the performance just let it go, those clutches are either on or off..

Start looking into your fuel mixture. Backfiring (through the exhaust) when you let off is a very typical sign that you are too rich. Fuel is still igniting in the exhaust as it travels downstream. If you have a leak you might notice it more because the backfire is venting through that leak as well as out the back.
