I'm getting ready to drop in motor #3 over Thanksgiving break and I've was reading up on Corbin's break-in method on his above posted link. He mentions using Dino Oil, which I've seen mentioned MANY times over the years I've been on this board, but I have no clue what it is. I did a search for "Dino Oil" and only got one hit - I think somethings wrong with my search button! I'm assuming it's something Dino concocted??

Rub me for a minute and you'll find out.

it's just plain non-synthetic DINOsaur oil. 10w30 Havoline is what i use.

In addition to the cost savings, I've heard that dino oil is better for break in because it doesn't smooth things out too much, since you want the rings to seat in the cylinder walls. Once the motor is fully broken in, you can switch back to synthetic.
