94036, How much does a 420a block weigh
Posted by teamneon, Oct-26-05 03:23 AM
has anyone shipped a 420a block and remember the exact weight?
if its less than 150lbs UPS and DHL will ship it for under $100
anything over that we would have to use freight. Im buying a built block from someone and they are taking too long to get back to me. so i thought someone might know.
thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure it's more than 150. I can remember carrying the damn thing after it was built, and it was pretty damn heavy.

I had to ship one to Indiana last summer. It cost me about $170 to have it shipped to the guy's house. $20 of that was residential delivery. I had to ship it through Old Dominion. I remember the block weighing in around 156lbs, but then you strap it to a skid, wrap it all up...

If someone is shipping you a block, you don't want it to show up in some dilapidated box. So long as they guy is communicating with you, ease up.
