any one have one of these hooked up???? if so is it worth the money? is it safe? and is there a noticable amount in power gain

That's not a chip. It is a reprogrammed computer. I had one on my car for a while and yes, it's definitely cool. If you are built to handle it, it's really cool to wind out your engine to 8,000rpm.

if you're into DIY stuff you could put a megasquirt together for about that much and have all the benefits of the AFX ecu plus a lot more control... of course it's not as simple as plugging in a new ECU. the other downside to the AFX is that it's for 97 MTX ONLY.
