I have a 99 GS with just an intake and some gauges, well one of my gauges is a autometer electrical water temp gauge. the previous owner had put it in and used the stock sensor location so the cluster water temp doesnt work, well for the past 2 days the water temp has only gotten to about 120 degrees and doesnt seem to get any higher than that, the heater in my car doesnt get as hot as it use to either, the car runs fine though, could it be the thurmostat ? Sensor or what ? please help

Hopefully, you'll better adhere to the fundamentals of punctuation and grammar in future posts. :)

No heat from heater core means no hot coolant circulating through it. A stuck thermostat would prevent the coolant from flowing through not only the heater core, but the radiator as well.

Yeah its the t-stat. In this case, its prob stuck open, or actually broke apart inside the housing. This means coolant is flowing into the radiator all the time, and not letting it get hot enough. A t-stat is what really regulates the temperature of the engine. Its constantly opening and closing in small amounts to regulate the flow of coolant into the radiator. When its stuck open, its running through the radiator all the time, even right away as soon as the egine starts. On a cold engine, the t-stat should remain fully closed until the engine reaches operating temp (195 degrees in our case). Once it reaches that temp, it starts to open, and let coolant circulate into the radiator and get cooled down.

One tip for when you are filling up the coolant once you are done..Leave the cap off of the housing then start the car up and let it run for a bit till it warms up. This lets the majority of the air out of the system, and you can keep filling it up as the level goes down. There will come a point where the coolant will stop going down and air bubbles go away. Then you can put the cap back on and you are done. Keep an eye on the overflow level for the next day after a full cool down as well.
