Just a quick question about the prothane motor mount inserts. These completely replace the rubber in the stock motor mounts correct?

Upon inspection yesterday, I realised that there was no rubber left in the stock front motor mount. I just want to make sure that I am not going to need to use window weld to patch this back together.

I searched, but was unable to come up with a specific answer to this. Thanks in advance for the help.

the sides it replaces completely. the front and rear are just inserts that fit into your stock rubber. i just got the kit a few weeks ago. works well.

thanks for the input. i guess this means i need to go buy the factory front and rear motor mounts so i can do the prothane mounts.

Or you could go with the front solid roll stop :evilgrin

I may do that as well. I haven't quite made up my mind yet. I am still looking around to see what options I have and what would be the best bang for the buck.

you know I have my front mount still after I switched to a solid one.....it has 65k miles on it. 16 shipped nd its yours.

That sounds really freaking tempting. How is the factory rubber in it? Still in pretty good shape?

yup...very good shape actually, I will take a pic for you tomorrow and post it.

You rock. I may buy your mount and the prothane set then instead of buying a solid front and the prothane set.
