ok so the good old talon has been running great for about 10 months now...about a week ago i install a new set of 500cc injectors from concept illusions and tried tuning...after about 5-10minutes the plugs fouled (probably because the fuel pressure was too high)...but that wasnt the issue...during reving the car from idle to about 2500 4-5 times the motor has developed a knock...i have no idea what it is except it is coming from the number 3 cylinder area...anyone know what the issue can be...i have about 1200 miles on this motor and yes it is fully built...a mechanic of mine said that he believes that it is a spun bearing but thats not what i wanted to here so im hoping you guys have something better to say lol..but just asking your opinion...what you think???

Pull it apart and see. If it is a spun bearing, or anything else for that matter, it needs to be adressed ASAP.

first off, he invited it by titling his post as "Supercharged talon problem" and second, knowing his set-up may help diagnosing the "problem" he's having. although he already knows thats its a spun bearing. BTW anyone who could pull off supercharging a Talon doesnt need our help figuring out what that mysterious knocking sound is. :wary

J's right, he asked about a problem, didn't come in talkin shit.

Besides, maybe 'supercharched' was a generic term he used to describe his forced induction. Either way, it doesn't matter.

yeah, every ME be it from honda, nissan or toyota refers to forced induction as superchargers. This category is split into blowers and turbos.

The one interesting guy was the lead ebngineer on the New charger, he was PISSED when they dropped the blower from the plan.

He is now working on a 600hp jeep that gets 30mpg
