Nice. maybe it was the crappy laptop i am on but I think I hear a knocking noise, other than that sounds nice. how long did it take you to get it running?

there are a few noises actually
the heatshield on my downpipe is rusted out and vibrating
when the video was done the engine was around 90 seconds old the lifters were empty
and there's an exhaust leak in my downpipe adaptor

yesterday it took me around 5 hours to figure out how to make the starter run with my 95 atx harness and a 2003 tranny the 95 was the last year with the 2x3 wires connector on the tranny while 96 and up are using a single 10 pins connector
the coil pack was disconnected and once I had the starter working I smelled gas so I connected the coil pack turned the car and the engine started on the first try !

Awsome.. I had mine running for about 1 hour but cannot figure out my mapsensor. I ordered a version 3.0 MS and a 4 bar map to try a fresh start.

best time so far 14.3 @ 101.1mph(no traction)

i made a few miles with the car today
the gain in torque is impressive
but the high rpm power is not
at 5500 rpm and up it shows that it's a low compression engine with stock 2.0 cams
but once turbo it's gonna be awesome

a few more issues related to the pt cruiser turbo tranny to take care off

by tommorow night I'll have my car back

way to be alain, nice stuff.

quick question though: why the PT Cruiser turbo atx? is it stronger then the craptastic one we had stock? better gear ratios? please explain :)

many reasons
the tranny is a new design and it has 8 more years of development than my old beaten one
it shares its internals with the Chrysler Pacifica which is a big boat with a 250 hp engine the pt cruiser gt is already a 230 hp on paper we all know that the 2.4 turbo engine make that power on the ground or even more bare stock
some peoples with PT turbo are in the 300-350 hp range right now and the tranny hold that power level without a sweat
the torque converter is also beefier BUT I couldn't use because it's made to go on the pt flexplate and the flexplate doesn't work with our starters I will found a pt turbo starter and make the swap this winter I already have the tc and flexplate
and last reason someone I know bought a whole smashed pt turbo drivetrain and paid a shop much more than expected to do a swap on his 2g neon , he needed money and I got the tranny for cheap compared to a fair market price :) the tranny had around 6000 km

I couldn't find the final drive of that tranny yet but I would love too, the buttmeter is telling me that it's a lower final drive

so far I love the new tranny I made a post in the a604 section
