93060, Questions on FPR and injectors.
Posted by gilee_8, Sep-12-05 08:23 AM
Hi guys.
I just received the Innovate WBO2 sensor and the MS-II v3.0 kit today. very excited!
I will be busy putting them together and so on.

But I still need two more things before I can hook everything up.
I need the 1:1 fuel pressure regulator and some larger fuel injectors.

I know many people here used the 600cc injectors when they go for the Megasquirt and I want to know what brand you guys got, type and some info on what injectors I should use.

I found the following from Summit: but only 55lb.
Accel Fuel Injector, 55Lbs/ Hour (ACC-74612) and it cost $93 each.
Can someone let me know if I need those injectors? I currently have 31lb injectors, and I want to push to 15-20PSI after I setup MS.
will 450cc injectors fine? or I need bigger?

Also for the regulator, I found some in the summit site.
I am thinking about getting the aeromotive FPR.
and I found many in the the link: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=/egnsearch.asp&N=400300
But I don't knoww which one I need.

But some said Bypass, and some don't. also seems like they hvae 3 holes (fitting) for me to connect fuel lines to. but my current SFMU only have 2, so what am I suppose to do with the third one?

Thanks again. Please let me know what you guys think!

EDIT: I just read through all the old post again on the Megasquirt forum, and I found XtremeRS posted a link to a site for 65lb injectors (Delphi) for $55 each: http://www.racetronix.com/17113814FM.html
I just want to know, will they fit for our car? and is that what you use XtremeRS? you guys think I should get 55lb? or 65lb? I do'nt want a rough idling and so on. but I also want to make sure I will have enough fuel for 20PSI boost. Thanks guys.

No one?

P.S.
I started soldering the MS kit together.
And I get to the point where it asked if I want to control the IAC.
Is the IAC motor compatible to the MS-II v3.0 kit?

Thanks.

Get this one; http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&autofilter=1&part=AEI%2D13105&N=400300&Nao=10&autoview=sku

that's the one I would have gotten if they had produced it at the time. 55 pounders may be ok, just fiddle with the fuel pressure abit and you'll get it.

Thanks alot for the input.

About the injectors, they look alot bigger then ours.
I can use my own O-ring for the injectors, but you think they will fit?

THanks again.

this ones cheaper and it's the one other people bought... the one the other guy pointed out is for returnless systems. idk if you already have a return line an stuff.

If you only are going to be using a 16G look for injectors between 550 and 650 cc/min. Any larger and it's just a waste and makes it more difficult to tune due to smaller pulsewidths.

Thanks guys.
I am looking toward maxing out the EVO 16G, then I might change it to a 20G later on down the road.
So that's why I want some space for me to upgrade later on.

Is it really that much harder to tune with 600+ cc injectors? since now I am using MS-II, should it be alot better for idling and so on?

For the FPR, my eclipse is 1995, and currently it has no return line.
And so if I replace it with my SFMU, I will only have 2 fuel line to hook up to. so which FPR should I get? return or non-return?

Finally, For the injectors link I point out, I mainly want to ask and make sure, will the adaptor/socket plug&play?
I worry the injectors might not fit our eclipse's wire harness. or are they all universal?

Thanks all.
