Alright, all of a sudden my car's engine starts rattling really hard. I had it towed to a shop. They say it's something at the bottom of the engine. They're like we can either break down the engine (5 hrs +) or just swap the engine. So, i was wondering if you all have had the problem.....and also, if i do swap for a new engine, do any of you know of a more powerful engine that fits?

uh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you need a new engine brother :( sorry to say but you spun a bearing... i am pretty sure not total you can get it repaired but... if the rod went through the block your done for and need a new engine

I think my car has done the same thing.....what kind of engine should i get? if i am gonna be payinf 4 or 5 thousand...i deffinately want more power.

There aint really no other engine you can put in our cars other than stock. Unless your ready to spend a shit load of money. No other engines will bolt right up. Sorry man all you can get is stock:(

The turbo engine wont fit because everything is backwards, you would have to change your motor mounts, transmission, ECU, and a whole lot more. Your only option to get more horsepower is to find a wrecked eclipse in your junk yard pull the bottom end off (might as well take the whole engine, head and all) take it and repuild it with JE pistons and shit like that. I beleive that is your only option. We can't swap out motors like the honda boy can.
