I ended up breaking one of the smaller bolts that holds down the camshaft bearing cap and was not sure if I needed to get the exact same bolt or if anything similar will work. If I need to use the same exact bolt, what would be the easiest way for me to get one? Am I the only one who has done this? I got lucky and the bolt didn't break off in the head, so I'm ok there... I tried the local junk yards, to no avail... Is there an internet site that might be able to help me out?

I broke two, and I noticed all the ones i was tightening had stretched also. I got all new ones from the dealership, they were about 50 cents each. Also the torque specs on them is 9ft/lbs, which aint shit so be carefull cause as you can see they snap with ease.

careful drilling the existing one out too since the head is aluminum and is very to scratch up and make a bitter or off center hole if your not drilling straight in.

The weird thing about those bolts is when they break they just kinda snap but don't come apart completely and you can still just unscrew them... its weird but that is what the two I broke did and since he said his wasn't stuck in the head, I guess the same happened to him too.

I believe similar style bolts in the metric section at both Sears Hardware and at Ace Hardware ... hardly huge selection stores, but they had them. Might save you a trip to the dealership.

That's exactly what mine did too... it just kinda half way broke... Good to know that I don't need to drive an hour to the nearest dealership to get them... Thanks for the help guys

I've done this before trying to use a 1/2" torque wrench at 9 ft/lbs. I had to carefully drill a tiny hole and use a proper size extractor to get the stud out, then I just went to the dealership and got a replacement bolt for some loose change. I then went and bought a 1/4" torque wrench that measures in in/lbs.
