Is the oil forced to pass through the oil filter? and what point does it, if it does? right after it passes through the pump?

Kicking and screaming. If you just ask it nicely, it ignores you. it's oil. it can't talk and doesn't care what you think.

Yes. Have you never looked at the oiling system?

I have but, hey leave me alone... :)

I just got scared because a tiny piece of aluminum foil fell in to my 5 quart container of expensive ass oil. I was under a lot of stress in a tight situation where I had to add some oil, and I butchered the foil seal (which is how the peice fell in), and had to pour it in.

I forgot about the pickup tube filter screen. Hopefully I'll see it stuck to that if it made it in my motor, when I switch out those pistons next weekend.

If it makes it that far. I think you might be doing it sooner as it's going to get stuck covering the screen from the vacume :P

worst case scenario i guess :P

or it could be chilling with the cams right now getting mulched :P
