92587, Hydrolock? or what? n e ideas, help

When I washed my car today, I didn't cover my CAI filter. I drove my car shortly after. Tonight when I came home, my car was almost stuttered when I was going to shut it off, almost like it was about to stall, it could have been doing this earlier in the evening but I may have just not realized it. What could this be? Water sucked in? I ran the car in my driveway for a little while in Park and it seems to have been resolved. What could this have possibly been? not hydrolock I hope? Idk sry I'm a BANME! with the 4bangers still

Don't think it is hydrolock because the engine wouldn't be running anymore :P.

Sound more like a coincidence. Even if you took a hose and soaked your CAI filter I don't think it would cause a hydrolock unless you where reving the engine while you did it :). You said you drove it afterward, but didn't notice any problems with the stuttering until you went to turn it off? Well, I would think if it was anything related to the water then you would have stuttering right away.

I would just drive it around and see if and when it does it again.

you need to SUBMERGE your cai in water with the engine running and throttle depressed in order to hydrolock. water is heavy. it's not going up the pipe unless an adequate pressure difference is created.

You probably got water in the spark plug holes. It causes a mis-fire, then after the water dries, it'll go back to normal.

that's what my dad said and I trust his opinion haha, I think it might have been a lil loaded up too so I took it to where kids round here have been racing since my dad was in the scene and ran the 1/4 with it this afternoon. I just floored it at 0, no Neutral drop or brake launch and hit 82mph in the 1/4 hahah. I didn't even bother counting the time lol
