Yeah, I think its 4 1/2 quarts.... BTW, check your oil level to see if thats correct after filling, you definately dont want your oil too low or your spin a bearing and you dont want it over full or your blow out gaskets... And synthetic would be a good switch for youq, just make sure you change the oil filter too.

Wow 6 quarts? Damm that's allot, do you have an oil pressure gauge? I want to know what psi reading your getting under WOT. Satan told me anything over 4 1/2 quarts will actually drop the oil pressure inside the engine.

That's right. If you put in excessive oil in our engines, it will actually hurt it.
I've inadvertantly added too much oil in my car once, and I cou;d tell it was unhappy!

nah no oil pressure gauge yet. workin on gettin some gauges in and preppin up for some turbo action. well i'm about due for a change so i'll go down a quart. i shoulda known the guy that told me that messed my car up pretty bad installing batteries backwards and what not
BTW where can i get a good oil pressure gauge and whre does it get the reading from?

Autometer are the best gauges around IMO. It takes the reading from the stock oil pressure sender unit on the back of the block. Although you have to use the sender unit that comes with the gauge. You gotta take the old stock sender unit out and go to Pepboys and buy a T fitting so you can install the new sender unit and still use the stock unit. The reason for this is so you don't get an check oil light on your dash all the time.
