Ok I have already swapped a SRT motor into a 2k neon which was a task in it self. I now have the 97 rs and was thinking on some things. My buddy has put a SRT motor into his 99 coupe using the SRT electronics up to the firewall and then his neon electronics from dash back as the wiring is very close to being the same. So I started thinking would it be possible to use the SRT bottom end with a 420A Head with the oil ports modified like some of the neon guys have been doing? I dont know if the stock turbo would sit too high or not that would be the only thing. It seems as though most of the electronics in the car are the same as the neon with just some mitsu deviations here and there. Only reason Im thinking about this stuff is I have a spare SRT motor and electronics sitting in the garage and Its friday and Im bored.

AFAIK, they're the same as a 1G neon of the same year. All the harness wire colors are different, though.

Hrrmm see thats what I needed to know. I just need to see what maps with what colorwise.
