9161, early detection of problem Posted by preci_eclipse, Nov-29-01 09:35 AM
Hey guys, thanks for the help with the noise under the hood and spun bearing question. Here's one more:
When slam on the gas I think my tranny or clutch is starting to slip (hope I'm wrong) Here's what happens; It runs fine until about 3-4000 rpms right about that point there seems to be a gap, the car slows then immediately catches on and jolts (all within 1 second). Happens once in a while and only from 1-3 gear. I've been thinking of changing my fuel filter, could it have anything to do with the fuel injector?
Quick info on car 95 with 135k miles Timing belt done twice, every 60K Never had major mechanical problems. Always stayed on top of basic maintenance (oil, spark plugs, belts, brakes, etc.)
Thanks for the help
