for some unknown reason my car started pouring fuel into the cylinders. I mean like a fountain of fuel was coming out of my exhaust making a puddle down the driveway -almost caught on fire.

I had the 8inj setup so i pulled all of the injectors and tested them with a 12volt power source and a compressor hose attached to them @~40psi of air. All of them clicked and fired.

So completely stumped and thought it was an electrical problem -i said fuck it and maybe i'll just install this megasquirt i have here been need'n to go in.

Yanked out the 8inj setup, through in the 415cc into the primary. And went to town on the megasquirt. Same fucking problem. I cranked alot of times with lots of fuel in the cylinders. When it starts now, it looks like i can see fuel spraying alot through the #4 cylinder at the exhaust manifold (fuel seeps or mists out of the mainifold gasket).

The wierdest part now -while it was running there was grey smoke everywhere and the breather filter on the valve cover started shooting oil/fuel like a garden hose every 4-10 seconds all over that side of the engine bay -all over the battery and everything else.

Blown head gasket from cranking the car with too much fuel in the cylinders? (The starter had locked up a couple of times from the pressure then i pulled the plugs to see the gyser of fuel coming out)

Megasquirt is controling the injectors, so i know the're getting the right signal to fire, but could an injector be bad and what symptoms would it show?

yeah your injector for cyl 4 could be sticking open just a bit and allowing fuel to flow through.
maybe send them to RC to be cleaned or just pop in new ones.

I don't think that is very likely but you do need to change your oil cause its will have fuel in it now.

whats your fuel pressure at when cranking it over??

I know that antifreeze won't really pass throught the rings to the oilpan, because god knows i seen the damn head off enought times.

My question is would fuel be able to leak past the rings?

since fuel seems to turn into a vapor and able to come out of all my exhaust manifold and turbo gaskets in this situation.

Also can the two wires on the injectors ever be reversed? does polarity matter or do they work similar to a light bulb or speaker (ie. doesn't matter which wire is positive and negative)

the injectors are neg. switched. so it completes the circut with a ground to fire. so try eliminating mod's and start from there. also, try getting the injectors cleaned.
