90327, Good mechanics in San Diego (to fix a CEL p1494)

So, I'm starting to get more and more bothered about my check engine light and I want it fixed soon. It is the "p1494 Man. control. Auxiliary emissions controls" error and doesn't seem to effect my car at all but I still don't like that light on.
So my question is, seeing as how I have no idea how to fix this my self, does anyone know of a good mechanic in the San Diego area (I'm in East County but I can drive a bit if it means a better deal and better service) or am I just better of going to a pep boys and getting it fixed (any one have any idea how much it might possibly cost? So that I don't get ripped off or anything.)
Thank you.

You dont need a mechanic. It's the LDP (smog leak detection pump) and costs between $100-400 unless you can find it used. If you have a 99, its behind the gas tank, under the car. Otherwise its in the front bumper behind the passenger headlight.

Search 2gnt for LDP or p1494, there's tons of information on this.
