89966, Fuel Pressure Regulator and ECU

My cars been running rich. I see about 0.95 volts on my air fuel gauge. I've been looking into leaning it out. I got an adjustable FPR and adjusted the fuel pressure and installed it yesterday but wouldnt the ecu compensate for the change to what it thinks is right and add more fuel accordingly?

I leaned it out all the way and still seeing about 0.92 volts at wide open throttle. Do I have to reset the ecu so it learns new fuel trims? Or is getting the S-AFC the only way to do this?

.92 IS GOOD. S-AFC will allow more leaning out though obviously.
