89321, Could this be the altenator? Posted by DJ420a, May-12-05 11:32 AM
I posted about this in Alarm/Stereo earlier because I thought it might be one of my amps doing this(still could be), but Im also thinkn now it might be my alt..
My question is, if I still have the whining in my speakers after I turn the car off and just put it on acc., is is still possible it could be my alt. going bad? When the car is running, the car is only reading like 13.8-.9 volts. I was just going to get another alt. tonite and swap it out, but I dont wanna waste my time if you guys dont think its that and I just have bummed amp.
Thanx

Are you sure it's just not a bad ground?

Man, I tried like 5 different grounding points and no luck. I even tried grounding it at the battery.
