hi im new here and own a 1997 Misubishi Eclipse RS and when im sitting still at a light my steering wheel and every thing shakes plus when i let off of the gas my car kinda jerks like the brakes are grabing and letting go. my exhaust will be white some times too i dont know what is going on with my car any feed back will be great.

anyone out there?

check motor mounts. especially front one near radiator fans. open hood . leave car on and give it a fast pull on throttle cable. if motor moves a tad bit its ok. if it really jumps then mounts or mount is prob bad.

Im guessn you need a tune up. KInda sounds like you might have a fuel or ignition problem. I would go from there, changing, plugs, wires, fuel filter, and the air filter.
