Is this worth it? How much HP should you get out of this? and what does the stock flywheel weigh?

A lighter flywheel will allow the engine to rev faster and the engine will rev to a higher rpm easier (rev limit will stop you of course unless you remove that with an EMS) This flywheel will only work with the NON modular clutch setup on the 95 N/T DSMs. There are some exceptions but the 96+ have modular where the clutch is riveted to the flywheel. When ever I have to replace my clutch I am going to buy a Flywheel and modular clutch for the lightened flywheel. That may be a while though.

Let me clarify that a little.

The 7lb Fidanza flywheel(make sure you get the non-turbo one) is a non-modular set up. So it will take any non-modular clutch bolt to it. But you can put the Flywheel on any year 95-99. After 96 you'll have to remove the modular clutch unit (flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate) then the Flex plate. and bolt the new lightened flywheel to the motor, and the clutch to that.

Howell automotive does sell a modular flywheel for 96+ that will accept any non-modular clutch and then bolt to the flexplate. This flywheel is 5lbs, but I don't know what the flex plate weighs, I'm assuming more than 2lbs. So I'm not sure sure which is the lightest way to go.
