I've been trying to search for the problem but every post has a different answer, lets make a list here and hopefully keep it a sticky and end the problem once and for all.

Things to check for...
1.spark plugs
2.spark plug wires
3.coil pack
4.fuel filter
5.fuel injectors
6.ground wires (disconnected, or upgrade to ground kit)
7.map sensor
8.IAC sensor
9.TPS sensor
10.cam sensor
11.crank sensor
12.EGR stuck open
13.O2 Sensor
14.Timing is off
15.Vacuum Leak
16.Engine Coolant Temp
17.Clogged Cat
18.Bad ECU

Rare cases
1.bad batch of fuel
2."junk" in fuel tank


Please feel free to add and make this list complete

You can add under the "rare" cases internal problems, like loss of compression due to valves chipped or burned, blown head gasket or problematic piston rings, or possibly hole in the piston.

Again, rare, but I figured if we're making a complete list.....
